Function of MB IR KEY PRO

With MB IR KEY PRO, you can program a new (or used) key in the car and reprogram your own key if it no longer works.

Desolder and read two CPUs from the Electronic Ignition Control Module using a programmer. Load these EEPROMs into the programming software.

Desolder the NEC CPU from the key, solder it onto the MB IR KEY PRO device, select the key number, and program it. After programming, solder all CPUs back into their original positions and start the car.

You can program new keys without the car—using only the EIS and steering lock module.

You can also read these CPUs with a compatible programmer (e.g., ETL) for Motorola CPU 68HC705X16(32).
